Whether you are a graduate student, PhD fellow working on her or his research, post-doc or a professional interested in survey methods, you will find our summer courses of high relevance to you. The GESIS Summer School is unique in Europe with its focus on Survey Methodology and data collection.
Quick Summary of the Summer School
- The GESIS Summer School takes place annually in Cologne since August 2012. Our instructors and applicants come from a diverse set of countries and fields.
- The Summer School 2014 comprises a three-week (August 11-29) intensive program with 18 one-week courses and 2 short courses running in the preceding week (August 7-8).
- Participants can receive up to 4 ECTS credits per course, issued by the Center for Doctoral Studies in Social and Behavioral Sciences (CDSS) of the University of Mannheim, our cooperation partner.
- Besides courses, participants are welcome to attend evening talks by experts in survey methodology, present their own research and, also thanks to our sponsors, take part in an exciting social and cultural program.
- This year, participants who register and pay until April 30 can benefit from the 50 € early bird discount! The general registration deadline is May 31st.

- GESIS Panel Campus to foster skills and research related to online access panels.
- the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) to enable more international participants to take part in the training.
