The Gothenburg SOM Survey

Responsible research principal(s) for data included in the collection

In order to follow the political development in Gothenburg the yearly SOM-surveys in Gothenburg have been conducted since 2016, with a focus on analysis of society, opinion and media on the local level.

The purpose of the survey is to study attitudes and behaviours tied to local issues and events. The bulk of the survey deals with politics, public service, and infrastructure. Many of the issues are identical to those included in the national SOM-surveys, to enable the responses to be comparable with Sweden as a whole.
