Swedish National Heritage Board, UV Öst
Due to development- and local planning of an area adjacent to the farm of Ullstämma south of Linköping, the Swedish National Heritage Board's contract archaeology division, UV Öst, has performed a stage 2 survey within the property Ullstämma 5:1 in Linköping municipality. The survey also included a culture-historical evaluation of a planned road that will cross the medieval village site of Ullstämma. 17 so-called objects were chosen for surveying. Within seven of them were found earlier unknown archaeological remains, consisting of settlements and large areas with agricultural layers.
The information in the purpose is translated from the archaeological report:
The aim of the survey was to investigate whether the development area contained any unknown archaeological remains and, if possible, to characterise and date the features or finds.
The ZIP file consist of GIS files and an Access database with information about the excavations, findings and other metadata about the archaeological survey.
