Description

A sample was drawn from the population registry among persons aged 18-18 years and living in Region Scania in 30th June 2004. The sample was stratified after geographic areas where each municipality stated a selection group, except Helsingborg which was divided into five city parts, Kristianstad divided in six municipality parts, Lund in ten municipality parts and Malmo in ten city parts. Selections of about the same size were made in each subarea. In total 27,963 persons answered the questionnaire, corresponding to 59 percent of the total sample (n= 47,621). The department of Social medicin, University Hospital MAS, Region Scania was operative responsible for the investigation. Statistics Sweden (SCB) has been contracted to perform mailing, collecting of the questionnaires and summaries. The study was approved by the regional research ethics committee and SCB:s etichal board.

Ett urval drogs ur befolkningsregistret bland personer i åldern 18-80 år som var folkbokförda i Skåne län den 30 juni 2008. Urvalet var stratifierat efter kön och kommun/stadsdel. Varje kommun utgjorde en urvalsgrupp förutom Helsingborg som delades in i fem stadsdelar, Kristianstad med sex kommundelar, Lund med tio kommundelar samt Malmö med tio stadsdelar. Totalt besvarade 28198 personer frågeformuläret, vilket motsvarade 54,1 procent av nettourvalet (n = 52142). Socialmedicinska enheten, Universitetssjukhuset MAS, Region Skåne har varit operativt ansvarig för tidigare undersökningar (FHS 2004 samt även FHS 2000) och är tillsammans med Centrum för Folkhälsa- och Miljö operativt ansvarig för FHS 2008. Statistiska Centralbyrån (SCB) har fått uppdraget att utföra utskick, insamling av frågeformulären och sammanställningar. Undersökningen var godkänd av SCB:s egna etikorgan
