This is the sixth SOM survey conducted in the region of Skåne. The questionnaire was divided into ten subject fields: Local news; Politics and democracy; To live in Skåne; Traffic and communications; Internet and mobile phones; Activities, interests and values; Denmark; Housing; Working life; Background.

Syd-SOM 2015 har genomförts som två parallella undersökningar med olika urvalsram, varav urval 1 utgjordes av 16-85-åringar och urval 2 av 16-29-åringar (ungdomsurvalet). Båda undersökningarna omfattar ett systematiskt sannolikhetsurval av 4 000 personer boende i Skåne. Såväl svenska som utländska medborgare ingår i båda urvalen.
Urvalet beställs från skatteverkets registertjänst Navet kort tid innan enkäten skall skickas ut. Urvalet samordnas negativt med SOM-institutets nationella undersökningar för att ingen skall få två undersökningar från SOM-institutet under samma undersökningsår.
