SND has recently published a clinical study, Antioxidants during stapedotomy, freely available at SND:s website.
The aim of the study was to examine whether antioxidants lead to improved high-frequency hearing after surgery for otosclerosis (disease of the middle ear that causes gradually increasing hearing loss).
Data was collected at three Swedish university clinics, between 2007-2013. Principal investigator is Andreas Fridberger at Linköping University.
