The Swedish Research Council announced on Wednesday that SND’s application for research infrastructure had been granted.
– We are very pleased that our application has been granted and are now eagerly awaiting the amount, says SND’s Director Hans
Jørgen Marker.

The call for proposals concerns research infrastructure and is part of the last group of grants from this year’s general call for applications by the Swedish Research Council. In this particular case an exact sum is not given for the grant. Receivers of grants will be notified of the amount and conditions during December.

The Swedish Research Council had received 52 applications for infrastructure operating grants and SND was among the 16 granted funding. CLARIN ERIC, which SND takes part in, has also been granted funding. Exact sums and time margins have not been announced yet.

SND applied for grants to cover operation, maintenance and user support for existing infrastructure of national interest.

In total the Swedish Research Council granted 27 of 141 received applications this round. The applications fell into the following categories: operation grants, grants for expensive scientific equipment, planning grants and grants for large databases.
