In June, the Consortium of European Social Science Data Archives (CESSDA AS) was established as a permanent pan-European distributed research infrastructure. The establishment of the new organisation is part of the development of CESSDA into a European Research Infrastructure Consortium (a so called ERIC). Thirteen European countries are members of the new CESSDA and the main office is located in Bergen, Norway.
CESSDA AS is now looking for a Managing Director that will act as the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Scientific Officer and represent CESSDA AS internationally. Among other things, the future director must be able to articulate a convincing strategic vision for CESSDA AS and she or he must have experience in planning and managing a successful international organisation or a large complex cross-national project.
