SND expects to run as normal a service as possible

SND is part of the University of Gothenburg and observes the decisions made by University Management to reduce the spread of COVID-19. This means, among other things, that SND is switching to remote working via digital tools.

Staff are now primarily working from home and communicating using a combination of virtual meetings, digital platforms, telephone, and e-mail. The majority of our planned events are also held over digital platforms. More information about specific events is available on the SND website or by contacting the relevant event organizer.

SND expects to provide as normal a service as possible. If you want to submit a request for access to or share and describe research data, you can do this via the SND website as usual. SND’s PID service remains unaffected. Our experts are also available to provide advice and answer questions. Please e-mail staff directly or use SND’s general e-mail address snd@gu.se.

National data portal for COVID-19

The need and willingness to share research data has increased during the COVID-19 pandemic, and since the outbreak numerous initiatives to promote openness and collaboration have been launched. One of these initiatives is a platform for European research on COVID-19 built within the framework of EOSC (European Open Science Cloud). The Swedish contribution to the platform is a data portal that coordinates research data and related material with the support of Swedish research infrastructures (SciLifeLab, NBIS, and SND, among others). The portal gathers data, metadata and information about COVID-19, as well as tools and services that make it easier to work with and analyse the material. There are also support resources for researchers who want to share data and make them accessible both nationally and internationally.

Here you find the Swedish data portal for COVID-19 research.
