Catalogue structure: The catalogues "asciigrid" and "netcdf" contain the data in Arcinfo ASCIIgrid and NetCDF-format, respectively, and should be readable by a variety of tools (e.g. GRASS-GIS, QGIS or other tools using the GDAL-library and probably a number of commercial GIS-tools). The catalogue "plots" contains plots of the data in RT90. The catalogue "kmz" contains kmz-files usable as GoogleEarth groundoverlays. These files have been reprojected a second time [from EPSG:2400 to a regular latlon-grid (EPSG:4326)] and are only intended for visualization. For purposes other than visualization you should rather use the data files in "asciigrid" or "netcdf". Filenames: The first two letters "td", "wd" and "dd" refer to "total deposition", "wet deposition" and "dry deposition", respectively. The following one or two letters indicate the respective species (k = potassium, na = sodium, mg = magnesium, ca = calcium). Data where the seasalt contribution was subtracted are flagged by "exc" (= excess, i.e. no-sea-salt) after the species name. The final two digits refer to the year (i.e. 98=1998). Units: Data are in mg/m^2, accumulated over the period of one year.
